Join several hundred aficionados of the 1920’s and 30’s as they step back to a time when elegance was a way of life…at the Gatsby Summer Afternoon the panoramic front lawn of the historic Dunsmuir Helman House becomes the stage on which every participant dresses in vintage-day wear styles of the era..they play, picnic, sip champagne and dance; the Charleston and Fox Trot was all the rage…it is reminiscent of a scene from the famous 1925 novel – The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald’s..“Can’t repeat the past? Why of course you can!” Jay Gatsby.
This Sunday from 2-6pm, the Art Deco Society is hosting the Gatsby Summer Afternoon garden party. Kevin and I went last year and had a marvelous time!! Hope to see you there!!!
